Squadron Leader Thanwa Thungthong (Flute)
Squadron Leader Thanwa Thungthong completed Master’s degree at the Department of Western Music, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University. Bachelor’s degree at Department of Arts Music and Dance Education, Major in Music Education with Second Class Honor. He received full- scholarship funded by the Royal Air Force for
the Study of the Performing Arts at the Ecole normale de musique de Paris, France. He studied flute playing with Suthichart Boonyadhup, Suncheep Vidayanakorn, Kalaya Phongsathorn, and Prof. Patricia Nagle. He also studied conducting with Pawasut Piriyapongrat. He was a member of the Thai Youth Orchestra (TYO), The Project Unity 2008 Orchestra, and Chulalongkorn Symphony Orchestra. He was invited by the Thai Consulate Australia to propagate Thai culture at the Thai festival 2018. He is currently a member of the Chulalongkorn Flute Ensemble. He won the gold medal award at Music Festival in Singapore as an ensemble group, the silver medal award at the 12th SET Youth Musician Competition. He was one of the contestants of Music International Competition Osaka, Japan. He also won the first prize in Les Clés d’Or and the third prize in Prodige Art (Cycle 3), France.
He is currently an education manager at the Department of Education, Royal Thai Air Force school of music, Royal Thai Air Force Music Division. Royal Thai Air Forced Security Forces Command.
