Paravee Sombutsiri

Paravee Sombutsiri, a native Thai, is the founder and author of “Kid Prodigy Piano”, series of method books to piano learning for children which have sold over 3,000 copies since the year 2008. “Kid Prodigy Piano” has helped discovering the musical talent in many young ones.

Paravee has enjoyed the reputation as one of the leading music educators in Thailand. She has taught, conducted and arranged music for children’s choirs since 2009. She holds certification in both the Or-Schulwerk and Dalcroze approaches. Besides her interest in the piano, Paravee is well known in jazz circles in her capacity as one of the best jazz vocalists. 

Before she earned her diploma in Jazz Studies with a major in Vocal Jazz from the CPIT Christchurch Jazz School, New Zealand she studied Classical Music Studies and Performance majoring in classical piano with a minor in classical vocals at Burnside High School, also in Christchurch.

During this time she was selected to sing in the all-girls “Bel Canto” group, a famous singing troupe in New Zealand which has won many awards in International competitions. Currently, Paravee enjoys teaching young children and lecturing at the music department at Silpakorn University. She is also a guest singer at various jazz concerts, and likes to spend her time on writing method of learning books.
